Spring

Let me start by saying, I LOVE SPRING! There is something about this time of year that gets me all giddy. It brings me pure giggly, elation to walk down the Easter aisle at the store. I don't know what it is. Easter candy is the best......peeps, cadbury cream eggs, jelly beans.....yummy! The grass turns the most beautiful shade of green in the spring, it is only that color this time of the year and no other. There is a certain springy smell in the air, daffodils and tulips and flowering trees never fail to brighten my day. Baby bunnies chase each other through my yard, I can't tell you how many times that scene has halted a family meal. I think it is the promise of renewal that brings me so much joy (not to mention my kids can take their racket out of doors)

That is why it is so appropriate that we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord during this season. God is like the ultimate home theater experience....he gets ALL our senses involved in an experience, sight, smell, sounds, tastes and touch. It's all there reminding us of His love for us.
As we draw nearer to this renewing season try and stop to appreciate the experiences for ALL your senses around you. I'd love to hear why some of you may love this time of year.......

I love spring, too. I love how the earth comes to life again--it reminds me how we are new in Christ. It also excites me about Easter--my favorite holiday. I hate all the bunnies and chicks and purposeful detractions from what we truly celebrate-the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Every year I read The Weeping Chamber, by Sigmond Brouwer. It's a fictitious novel that entwines the life of a traveler coming to Jerusalem with the last week of Jesus' life. I love this book; it helps me focus on the true meaning of Easter. That's all! Love ya, Joy Joy

Hi Aly - you must try the BRACH'S marshmallow Easter bunnies - they are simply the best - Rob and I can't wait to find they are out - they usually only have them at Walgreens, CVS, sometimes Publix. Come visit our blog - it is probably more depressing at times :) - but I'm hopeful that I will soon not have so much medical stuff to write about my baby and just good ole' fun stuff about my sweeties! Hope you're having a great day!

Mary,
I'm all over that! I don't even really like peeps due to an unfortunate overdose of them in high school, I just make myself eat one or two during easter.
You've been added to my shout outs.
